Neligh baseball stadium

Harold Cole Field is located in Riverside Park in Neligh Nebraska. We went to Neligh in early June 2010 just before the floods of 2010 put most of the park underwater. The park has multiple ball ball diamonds and a city pool. The grandstand in the background is actually forty or fifty yards behind the ball diamond. The grandstand is used for Antelope County Fair activities. The ball diamond has a press box but at the time we visited it had no stands for the fans. Neligh Stands

Entrance to park The entrance to the ball diamond area has a list of Junior Legion baseball accomplishments. According to the Nebraska Legion baseball website the list is not complete. In the 1930's Neligh was a hotbed of Legion baseball, winning the championship in 1931, 1933 and 1934 and coming in second in 1932 and 1941.

The park has a nice grass infield, good outfield turf and a nice fence in the outfield. The scoreboard indicates great community support for baseball with numerous sponsor signs. Neligh Scoreboard
